It's true what they say about cast iron.

I have owned my skillet for three weeks now and have used it three times. Twice to make a breakfast skillet meal with pork sausage, peppers, onions etc, and once to make blackened chicken.
The thing that I didn't appreciate until I used it was the consistent heat throughout the skillet. No hotspots just a very even and deep heat that makes cooking straightforward.
Cleaning is a breeze- I wipe out the pan with a paper towel and then scrub with Kosher Salt. No drama.

Love this skillet

I oil my cast iron cookware religiously after every use, but this 12" skillet from Barebones was well seasoned and ready to go. It heats evenly, does really well in moving from stovetop to oven, and is a joy to use. Slightly lighter than other 12" skillets, and a longer handle than many, both of which help. You should buy from Barebones!

Unlike other cast iron, it isn’t necessary to wash or scrub Barebones cast iron before use - we don’t use any resins to cover imperfections. After seasoning, our cast iron is packaged and shipped to its new home. Move it directly from package to stove, oven or fire pit. Pre-seasoned and free of harmful chemicals, your cast iron is ready to use.

Highly raw and grainy cast iron is typically treated with resin-based sealants to cover imperfections and weaker areas that may crack over time. Barebones cast iron is not.
