LoVe LoVe LoVe it!
I purchased the Forest Lantern and the Railroad Lantern at the same time. I honestly thought I would like the Forest Lantern much better, but that was not the case.
The Forest Lantern is about 2/3 the size of what I thought it would be, and the light is a brilliant white, instead of the warm yellow-white light of the Railroad Lantern. The Forest Lantern does have a frosted globe that cuts don’t on the glare from its intense white light.
The push button On-Off is a modern feature of the Forest Lantern that some may like, however, I much prefer the traditional look and feel of the metal wire, twist-control on the Railroad Lantern. I would recommend spending a few dollars more and getting the Railroad Lantern. I have 3 Railroad Lanterns now and I love them.
A little complicated in initial use. Be sure to read the instructions. Like being able to control the brightness. I have not used it for a long period yet but am sure I will get lots of use from it.
Love them! Sending your link to everyone who admires them and then some.
I love my lantern!!! Just used it on a 7-day beach camp in my pop-up trailer. I wanted a lantern I could depend on, that wouldn't need battery replacement every time we go camping, and that could be counted on to stay powered during an entire campout. This is it! Fully charged, it lasts for 80 hrs on low, which was bright enough to set a homey ambiance in the trailer AND to use for my bedtime reading. Never needed the high setting. I was ready with my portable charger, to recharge if needed, but didn't need it. Now I just need to remember to charge it once in the winter off-season to keep the battery in the best condition (as recommended in the simple instructions).
