The perfect gift!

I recently ordered the Railroad Lantern for my daughter-in-laws birthday. She was pleased with her gift and I would highly recommend it to others.

Buy it!

I love this lantern. Since I bought mine a year ago I have purchased 3 more as gifts. I use it for everything from walking the dogs at night, to car camping, to simply when the power goes out.

I need more!!!

We are restoring a 200 year old off grid, non- electric farm house in Chile. It is our only lighting besides candles and they are working great. We bought 4 of these and we love them and will purchase more.

Excellent lamp! Questionable service.

This lantern is simply gorgeous and much more robust than comparable LED lanterns. It is exceptionally bright on the highest setting. I don't think I'll ever run it that high, since the lowest setting illuminates a small campsite just fine.
Shipping costs were horrendous. It cost more to ship the lantern than the cost of the lantern itself. The only reason I took a gamble on the cost was that I received a discount coupon in my email. But when I went to use it at checkout, it was invalid. I contacted customer support and after some negotiation they activated the coupon code for a 12 hour period. However, the next day, I received another email from Barebones advertising the same coupon. I tested it again, and again it was invalid. They need to get their act together and stop advertising bad coupon codes, and also provide better shipping options.

Nice looking lamp and it seems well made. I hope it will last and hold up. Time will tell and that is the key. It must last at least five to eight years. My old Coleman lantern is thirty years old and still works great.
