Blue Carbon Steel Skillet
Similar to cast iron, carbon steel needs very little daily maintenance. Simply rinse, heat, and re-oil.
• Gently clean the surface using warm water and a rag or brush with soft bristles. Do not use a steel scrubber to clean.
• Dry the surface with a clean towel.
• Place on stove top and turn heat to low to remove any remaining moisture.
• Once fully dried, turn off heat and coat the surface evenly with a thin layer of olive oil, avocado oil, or other.
Store in a cool, dry place when not in use. Wipe down after use to prevent rust.

Hand-wash only. Dry thoroughly after each use. Not dishwasher safe

Apron Canvas
Use a damp cloth or a soft brush to spot clean with cold water.

Apron Leather
Leather will develop a patina with each use. Spot clean with damp rag. Condition with leather cleaner and weatherproof with beeswax.

Q: Will the hand-blued steel color fade over time?
A: Blue coloring is temporary. With proper use and maintenance, the surface will turn black over time. All carbon steels are susceptible to rust. We recommend properly cleaning and maintaining your product to produce an ideal cooking surface.

Q: Can Barebones products be stored outside for extended periods of time?
A: Barebones products are not meant to be stored outside for long periods of time. Extended exposure to wet conditions can lead to rust and unwanted wear and tear. For optimal longevity and to prevent the need for replacement, we recommend storing your products indoors after each use.
