Celebrating 5 Years as a B Corp

Committed to Better Business | Committed to our Employees | Committed to Quality Products

What makes us a B Corp?

Our philosophy on sustainability is ever-evolving: we work hard to go above and beyond set goals and metrics to reduce waste and minimize environmental impact. Our latest aim is to remove all single use plastics in our box packaging and master-packs.

Our products are designed by our team in Salt Lake City, Utah, and manufactured by trusted facilities in China who meet Business Social Compliance (BSCI) or who are working towards their compliance with our support and guidance.

Barebones is also transforming communities in Pakistan through the production of several of our soft goods. These products are handmade by men and women in Pakistani villages. Through this cross-cultural enterprise, craftsmen and craftswomen earn wages that help raise their economic standing so they can provide more for their families.

At the core of Barebones DNA is a commitment to help individuals and communities at the most human level, without hesitation and without borders. We espouse the same mindset when selecting the partners with whom we work. We choose to collaborate with organizations and craftsmen around the globe based on common goals and shared values, with the intention of supporting people both within our borders and worldwide.

Barebones takes its B Corp designation seriously. As such, we ensure that our commitment to safe, ethical, and sustainable practices is upheld by each company and artisan that touches our products, without exception. We inspect each facility and company regularly and work only with those organizations that are as committed as we are to the highest of environmental and human standards. You can be confident that no matter where in the world your Barebones product was crafted, you are personally contributing to conscientious trade.

Volunteerism & Wellbeing

Giving back is a key element of our company culture and at the heart of what we do. Employees are given a week of time each year to volunteer for a non-profit of their choice and many volunteer locally at Roots Charter High School in Utah.

Our employee wellbeing comes before shareholder profits. We provide healthcare to 80% of our employees and their families, a flexible work environment, generous paid time off, and opportunities for ongoing training and certifications. Beyond a robust PTO benefit package, we also offer five additional Fridays off every year so employees can get outside and play in nature.

Leadership Diversity

Unique to our industry, 75% of our Senior Management team is female. This year, Barebones signed the We The Change declaration which works to:

• Advance women’s leadership, prosperity and well-being
• Promote sustainable business practices and innovations
• Increase the flow of capital to women-led enterprises
• Advocate for systemic changes to uplift marginalized identities
• Align with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals
